Here at McClung, we’re always excited to push the boundaries of digital marketing, and that now includes 360 photography! We’re thrilled to be working with businesses in Downtown Harrisonburg to give a more immersive experience for their customers. Our web division, Immerge Technologies, has been leading the way in using this cutting edge technology.
On Monday, our Director of Digital Marketing, James Carter, was featured on WHSV3 Harrisonburg for his 360 photography of the downtown Explore More Discovery Museum. Using a specialized 360 camera, we collected images from the children’s museum, then stitched those together to create a virtual tour. You can read more and watch the video at WHSV3.
As a part of the downtown business community, we’re always looking for ways to support our neighbors. The Explore More Discovery Museum is dedicated to engaging children and providing educational programs for the community. We were happy to dedicate our time in order to create a 360 virtual tour. The museum will now be able to use this tour to fundraise and drive membership. We’re hoping in the future to partner with more local businesses in order to help them reach the most customers possible.
We’re elated to have this opportunity to bring a new technology to local partners. 360 photography is a great way to display your business online, and make customers feel as if they’re physically at your location. Research shows that 41% of customers who take a 360 “tour” of a business online follow up with an in-person visit. This is a great way to use a new form of media to attract new customers!
